What "online" should mean

Not a trim tool.
Not a web wrapper.

Most "online editors" today

Light-weight trim tools that feel like they'll break on anything longer than 30 seconds.

Web wrappers around desktop apps that need a permission dance and don't work on mobile.

Sapari

A full editor, built for the browser, that handles long recordings without choking.

Identical on phone — because half of content is made where the phone lives.

Why browser-first

Four things you
stop thinking about.

01

No install

No desktop app, no OS dependency, no admin permissions. Open a tab.

02

Any device

Timeline, waveform, edit cards, and overlay tools work on desktop, tablet, and phone.

03

Always current

No version mismatches between team members. Everyone opens the same URL.

04

Shareable projects

Project URLs are just URLs. No file exports to sync between machines.

AI that runs the edit

Browser-based
is the easy part.

Here's what Sapari adds on top: a full post-production pipeline in one analysis pass — silence removal, false start detection, captions, audio cleanup, and B-roll placement together.

A reviewable timeline where every AI decision shows up as a card you can accept, dismiss, or adjust. Frame-accurate boundaries, 100ms minimum edit duration, multi-clip playback, A/B comparison.

The mobile editor

Same editor.
Touch-optimized.

Not a stripped-down companion app. The same timeline, waveform, cards, and overlay tools — with touch as the first input.

44px minimum touch targets (WCAG 2.5.5)
Pinch-to-zoom on the timeline
Swipe review for edit cards
Haptic feedback on boundary snaps

You can edit an entire video from your phone and never open a bigger screen.

Upload

Any MP4, MOV, or common video file. Or paste a YouTube URL (Viral plan).

Edit

Full timeline with waveform, multi-clip playback, and A/B comparison.

Place

B-roll from your uploaded asset library. AI director or manual.

Caption

Time-synced, styled per aspect ratio, 4 languages supported.

Audio with one toggle. Denoise plus -14 LUFS loudness target.

Export

Compared to desktop

Where each side wins.

Sapari (browser) wins

Talking-head content — the 80% of creator video. Silence, false starts, captions, audio, B-roll. Fast, flexible, mobile-friendly, no install.

Desktop wins

Color grading, motion graphics, multi-cam sync, frame-accurate DAW-grade audio. If your workflow needs those, stay on Premiere or Resolve.

Before you ask

Common questions.

Is my video safe in the browser? +

Uploads go directly to Cloudflare R2 encrypted cloud storage. Your content isn't used for AI training or shared. See the privacy policy for full details.

How long can my videos be? +

We routinely handle two-hour podcasts. Browser memory and rendering scale with duration, and we haven't hit a practical upper limit in normal use.

Does it work offline? +

No. The AI analysis and video streaming both need an internet connection.

Can I edit from my phone? +

Yes. The full editor runs in any phone browser, and you can upload, review, and export without switching devices.

What browsers are supported? +

Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on any OS. Modern versions from the past two years.
